Charlotte native Susan Nash is a residential Interior Designer with over twenty five years experience advising private clients. Skilled in both traditional and contemporary design, she creates interiors of comfortable elegance that are fresh, peaceful, and uplifting.
Susan Nash earned an Art degree from East Carolina University, with a studio major in Applied Design. After graduation, she continued her studies at the College of New Rochelle in New York. She is drawn to classic design elements of the grand historic homes she has toured on the eastern seaboard, from St. Augustine to Boston, and inspired by her travels to Europe. She has a discerning eye for fine art, influenced by her exploration of acclaimed art galleries and museums from Los Angeles to Paris.
In addition to her work with private clients, she has created interiors for model homes and award winning showhouse rooms. With a strong design background, she has developed and taught interior design courses for Central Piedmont Community College. Her expertise and writing have been regularly featured in New Home Update Magazine. She lives in Charlotte with her husband, architect Barton Nash, and currently divides her time between her interior design practice, and teaching art for Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools.
“I consider it an honor and privilege when clients put their trust in me to help them create a warm and inviting home, one both comfortable and beautiful. I reward that trust by carefully considering their personal tastes, sensibilities, and budget concerns. Whether they are furnishing a new home, redesigning an existing interior, or staging their home for sale, my aim is to guide them through those processes with the skill of a seasoned professional, and the integrity of a trusted friend. As a result, many of my clients have developed a loyalty and confidence in my guidance, throughout the many changes in their lives.”
